Dr. Susan Hong has been practicing optometry since 2004. She is a caring, friendly, and dedicated provider who ensures the best eye health and vision for her patients. She provides thorough eye examinations including preventive care for children and adults and makes sure that all of her patient's needs and concerns are addressed.

Dr. Hong is proficient in contact lens fittings, treating eye infections, managing ocular diseases, and referring to specialists if necessary. She also believes in keeping up with the latest technology and medical advances to best benefit her patients.

Dr. Hong graduated magna cum laude from Bowdoin College and then received a dual doctorate and master's degree from SUNY Optometry. She also did neurogenetics research at Harvard Medical School where she discovered a gene that causes rare brain disease and has been published numerous times.

She enjoys traveling, photography, music, interior design, and spending time in the country with her husband and 2 kids.

Dr. Patel discovered her passion for optometry at a young age as she needed vision correction for almost her entire life. She completed her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University and moved to New York City in pursuit of her doctoral degree from SUNY College of Optometry. She graduated at the top of her class at SUNY, where she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She is skilled in practicing medical optometry to treat and manage ocular disease, fit specialty contact lenses, and comanage patients with other medical professionals.

Dr. Patel is extremely passionate about her quality of care. She finds it truly amazing how something as simple as providing a comprehensive eye exam can improve the overall quality of life for her patients. She is proud of the role she gets to play in providing care for such a fundamental part of peoples’ everyday lives, their vision.

Some of her passions outside of patient care include traveling, photography, and spending time with her friends and family.
